-
October 13, 2008. While in Dallas, TX, Norm needed three new tires for the bus. He was quoted $1,863 for the tires, but that was much more than Jezreel Ministries could afford. So, Norm explained to the tire company that Jezreel was a faith-based ministry and asked if there were used tires available. The next day, God worked through the tire man to provide the three tires to Jezreel for a total of $426 - tax, installation and labor included!

October 2, 2008. While in Longview, TX, we’ve had some surprising, wonderful blessings! One day, as Marlynn went outside and Tinkerbell went after Marlynn and Norm went after Tinkerbell, who ran in front of a truck. As Norm apologized to the driver, they talked for a few minutes about what we do. The man left, but returned 15 minutes later to ask if we were having electrical issues with our bus. When Norm said “yes,” he handed him a cheque for $500 and said God told him to give us that money to deal with our wiring issues (the only way he [a stranger] could have known was through God). A few days later, after a concert in the evening, a guy walked up to Jonathan outside the bus and said God told him to give away $100 to someone, but it didn’t work out for the person he intended, so he said he knew why – it was supposed to be for us!
-
October 2, 2008. Kolten Vike rejoined Jezreel as a vocalist and keyboard player!
-
August 30th, 2008. Since FIVE new band members joined Jezreel recently, we REALLY needed a trailer. God provided us with a trailer that perfectly fits our needs and in His perfect timing! Isn't God good! Praise God for this wonderful blessing and answer to our March 8, 2008 prayer request: "Now that we have new band members, pray for funds to purchase a trailer to attach to the bus, as we are running out of sleeping quarters, since some of the bunks are being use to store clothing. A trailer would greatly facilitate added storage space."

This was how God answered our February 23 2008 prayer request: "Our legal papers for the bus are still sitting at the Canada/USA border until Monday at the earliest. Pray that they would go through and that Norm would be able to get our bus into Canada."
-
February 23, 2008. This is how God answered our February 19, 2008 prayer request "We will be crossing the border into Canada on Saturday, Feb 23rd, a change from our original Monday, Feb 18th planned crossing. See the February 18, 2008 blog entry. Pray for a smooth border crossing." After some scrambling around, Jocelynn Coty decided to drive us and all our equipment across the border to Aldergrove, BC in the GBC's bus. She did not have her CDL (Airbrake's ticket), so it was a drive of faith! And the 21st was the day God wanted us to cross; The border guard did not ask about her CDL (or even look at her license), didn't check our passports, and didn't even ask to see anyone in the back! God slipped us right through, as Norm says, "Like butter on a hot knife." So, here we are, back in Canada.
-
February 23, 2008. God SO blessed our stay in Bellingham WA. We stayed at the Coty's (the man and his family who owned the autoshop) for three nights, and had a wonderful time fellowshiping with them. On Wednesday night we played at their church (Grace Baptist) for a family concert. It was a wonderful night of fellowship, new friendships, and new bookings! Thursday morning we woke up and sensed that we had done what God had wanted us to do in Bellingham. We felt the release to leave the States. This is how God answered our Feb 19, 2008 request to pray for "whatever it is God has prepared for us here in Bellingham WA --for bookings, or for people He wants us to minister to"

At the Tuscon Salvation Army Adult RecoveryCenter (ARC), God was so present in our evening chapel there. The room was packed with men who know they're sinful, and love God with every fiber of their being because of what He's saved them from. It's an awesome thing to see grown men weeping and yelling "I am free" at the top of their lungs. They have a childlike faith, absolute adoration of God, and genuine humilty. An altar call brought more than 3/4 of the men forward, so that they filled the front of the building and lay kneeling all down the center isle. It's impossible to explain the feeling of watching God work that night, but we were challenged not to live in the "Christian box", and also to encourage other Christians to seek passionately after God.
-

A murder had been within a block of us. God was definitely protecting us there.
