Norm Vike
Norm Vike is the band leader, lead vocalist and main songwriter. He is the husband of Marlynn and the father of Shandell, Kolten and Daiton. Norm’s parents, Norm Sr. and Irene Vike, provided a strong Christian foundation as they raised their 11 children near Salmon Arm, B.C. However, when Norm was in his teens he started playing in bar bands and doing drugs. This led to a 19 year long drug addiction that he was able to overcome only after finding his personal relationship with Jesus Christ 1997. As he sought God, God impressed upon him Romans 10:13-15 (“to preach Christ…”) - a divine duty of servanthood !! In preparing to serve God, Norm attended the Caribou School of the Bible (near Quesnel), graduating from the 2 year program in the spring of 2002 and started a music ministry that became the band Jezreel – God Plants! Norm and Jezreel Music have been on the road since May 2002 and have traveled all over Canada, United States, Jamaica and Mexico, providing the good news of Jesus Christ and encouraging fellow believers.
