In March 2008, God gave Jezreel the opportunity to glorify His name through leading Praise and Worship at Oklahoma Wesleyan University (OWU) SOAR '08 Youth Conference with special guest speaker Josh McDowell

Oklahoma = Humility! Where do we start. The moment we arrived at the University (OWU) we were welcomed with open arms. But it didn't stop there, we were blessed with 3 Hotel rooms for the time we were staying there, all our meals provided for, and much more. We were able to set up the equipment (that we had) with amazing sound engineers that allowed us to practice and have a long sound check. God knew what we needed. The students were very friendly as we spent our meal times with them, (I have never eaten such good cafeteria food). We played for the first service on Friday night. It was a little rough around the edges but even with the frustrations, irritations and lack of sleep each one of us were humbled in different ways. So the theme that God used in us this weekend was humility. In spite of our short comings, we were able to enter into worship with the students. We realized as a team that we needed to give it all to God. That this weekend wasn't about us, or how well we can play our instruments but how we use the gifts that God has given us to glorify His name, to give all the honor and praise to Him who deserves it.

Josh McDowell was the guest speaker for the weekend. The team was able to pray with him before the service on Friday,and had the chance to get to know him. The second night we felt went better as a team. As we had let go of everything and just let God take command. He did, He showed Himself strong on our behalf. There was smoke (dry ice) on stage which made it harder for the vocals to sing. The only time that we could get anything out was when God opened up our lungs on stage. We praise God for our time in Oklahoma, it challenged us individually and as a team. God allowed us many new connections.
